ABOUT US

Meet Garrett
Garrett is adventurous and enjoys being outdoors - in fact his favorite Disney Pixar quote is “Adventure is out there!”. He loves the mountains year round; if he could go skiing and biking everyday he would. He listens to all types of music and probably has the most organized iTunes anyone will ever have. He enjoys taking his love out on picnic lunches and seems to always have a surprise up his sleeve. He is a man full of patience and strives to live a faithful life through prayers.

Meet Natasshia
Natasshia has such a creative mind that inspires and motivates those around her. Stealing her away from her computer where she is busy pinning, blogging, or getting craft ideas can be the harderst part of your day. She loves the colour pink, food, balloons, anything French, baking for her loved ones, and fantasizing about one day being a housewife. If she could spend all day crafting and getting lost in paper, pens and glitter, she would be one happy lady! She is a woman of God and her faith shines through all she does.

Our Story

Garrett and Natasshia first met in high school, but their paths didn’t seem to cross until after graduation. He was completely smitten by her, yet she wasn’t sure how she felt about him. He went to “bike school” on the Sunshine Coast, and she went to “fashion school” in the city. After a few visits back to their home town in Whistler, they exchanged numbers and had numerous sleepless nights texting each other. Little did they know that a long-distance relationship was about to blossom. After a couple months of getting to know each other over a few questions and Skype dates, she had a chat with her mother about how she might have feelings for this certain guy.
On weekends, he made trips out to the city to visit her. On their first date, they had brunch - he got a sandwich and she ordered butternut squash soup (as she was afraid of food getting stuck on her teeth). Halfway through their meal, they switched plates (and they still do!). Every time they said their goodbyes, they also planned on when they’ll be seeing each other next.
Over the next few years, they moved to different corners in the province, and hundreds of kilometers separated them. He would drive down (a total of 30 hours at times) on the weekends, or she would fly up in a teeny-tiny plane, just so they could be together. They also made multiple trips to the post-office to send off handwritten letters to one another.
Whenever they are together, they love going on dates to make up for time lost. He loves taking her out on picnics and she loves trying new cheeses (as they are both obsessed with meat and cheese platters). She loves collecting stars on her Starbucks card, but he insists she doesn’t drink coffee because it hurts her tummy. So instead they normally get extra hot london fogs where she will drink it until it’s cool enough for him.
They had been dating for over 4 years at this point and shared many seasons of prayers about marriage. She was ready to wait for another couple years until he was finished moving around for work. But unknown to her, he had been preparing to ask her the big question.
On one of their most recent weekends together, he surprised her with a sail boat lunch date. They stood at the front of the boat, taking in the scenery. She turned around and there he was, down on one knee! He asked her to marry him and she said yes! Now they are busy planning away the wedding of their dreams and to finally be together as a married couple!
